Terraced House Roof
Typically a terraced house will have only a pitched roof to the front and rear of the property.
Fitting a new roof requires removing any old tiles, battens and felt. We will then supply all new materials for you, which we will then fit. If you have the materials already and require only the fitting we can provide this service for you. A replacement of this kind takes around 3 days.

Frequently Asked Pitched Roofs Questions
Generally, pitched roofs tend to be more cost-effective over the long term because they require less maintenance and have a longer lifespan. Flat roofs may have lower initial installation costs but can be more susceptible to leaks and require more frequent maintenance, potentially costing more in the long run. The cost difference can vary based on factors like materials and local conditions, so it’s essential to consider your specific situation.
In many cases, you may not need planning permission for a pitched roof if it falls within certain size and height limits set by local building regulations. However, it’s essential to check with your local authorities or consult a professional roofer like Homeworks Roofing to ensure compliance with local rules and regulations.
A pitched roof is a type of roof that has a sloping or angled design, forming a triangular shape when viewed from the side. It’s commonly seen on houses and buildings and helps shed rainwater and snow, preventing accumulation.
A low-pitched roof is often referred to as a “shallow-pitched roof.” These roofs have a gentler slope compared to steeply pitched roofs and are suitable for areas with milder weather conditions.
